Only at the beginning when it is neat! Though I already realize I didn’t pack enough socks….forgot that it’s rude in Japan to show your toes, so I’m off to Muji today to buy those tatami-toed socks to wear with the Birkenstocks. Not clear if the locals will think it’s chic or weird!
Q: what’s your favorite instant coffee for traveling?
As for not to miss in Japan, I only went once over 30 years ago and it is still vivid in my mind! If you can get to the Izu Peninsula, make sure to go to a wasabi farm. Also, Miyajima is magical.
Nice to see you up here! And thank you! Will let you know on the coffee…this is a new one and sort of an emergency since I fear crazy, Lost in Translation style jet lag without Java. Tea is nice but….
I swear my next trip I will not over pack, I have never not over packed. I say show us your suitcase for all your trips!

Love this! So glad to find you on
